Establishment and Registration
The Mountain Province Electric Cooperative, Inc. (MOPRECO) was established under Presidential Decree 269 during the administration of Former President Ferdinand Marcos.
Date of Incorporation: May 24, 1974
Date of Registration with NEA: May 25, 1974
Original System Taken Over: Benguet Development Company Electric System (BDC), managed by Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Derige
Initial Equipment: 2-90 KW Genset and other equipment
Initial Coverage: Bontoc Poblacion, parts of Caluttit, and Bontoc Ili
